Beginners Surfing and Swimming at a perfect white sandy beach in the South of Lombok
We have found the perfect beach in the South of Lombok and are sure you will love it too. It has soft white sand that is like baby powder between your toes, crystal clear blue/green water and gentle waves rolling in that are perfect for swimming and beginners surfing.
The day starts with a scenic drive through rice fields, seeing papaya and other fruit trees growing. See local village life as they go about their daily routines and there is always a herd of buffalo on the road to stop and take photos of. Panoramic mountain views greet you as you approach the South of Lombok as your guide talks about the local community, culture, customs and the approaching modernization of Lombok.
We then arrive at the secluded beach that we are sure you will fall in love with.
If you have always wanted to try surfing this is the perfect place with easy waves, around 1 – 1.5 metres high, suitable even if you have never tried surfing before.
You can hire a surfboard or boogie board, or take a surf lesson from one of the local surfers who will be in the water with you, teach you how to stand up and help you onto the waves.
If you are not into surfing you can swim in the gentle waves next to the surf area, relax on the shaded deck chairs watching the local fishing boats, drink a refreshing coconut, or take a walk along the silky white sand beach. It’s a good idea to wear something to swim in, because you will not be able to resist jumping in to refresh yourself. There are also some local warungs where you can buy food and drinks.
After a morning of swimming and surfing, drive on to Kuta, Lombok, with spectacular scenery along the way and enjoy lunch* at a restaurant with a view of the beach before driving back to your hotel.
Make sure you bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and camera on this trip.
