Visit Tangsi Beach which is known as “Pink Beach” in East Lombok.

Take a one-day journey to explore the non-touristic side of East Lombok.

Start by visiting the large market in central Sweta where you will see spices, fruit, and local kitchenware. Try your hand at bargaining with the local people if you want to buy something to eat or take home.

Continue your drive to the East of Lombok through daily village life, farms, rice and corn crops, see cows, buffalo and visit a traditional fish market along the way.

We meet a local outrigger boat* to explore the mysterious secluded pink beach, with it’s unique pink coloured sand formed from red corals in the area. Take photos and refresh with a swim in the beautiful clear waters.

Blue, yellow and white corals can also be found washed up onto the beach.

There are small warungs where you can purchase fresh coconut juice, water, coffee and local food. You may prefer to bring something from the markets to eat under the trees.

Road access to the area is extremely limited to 4WD vehicles in the dry season only so you will find the area with mainly boat access, it’s uncrowded and quiet.

Additional expenses: Lunch, drinks, local outrigger boat. There is an entrance fee to the beach of 50,000 rpa per person to help with the upkeep of the area.
